Hopewell Culture National Park, OH

Hopewell is a really interesting National Park, in that it dates back to 200BC and was in the area until 600AD. So many different artifacts were found buried in the unusual mounds at this park: shells, shark teeth, rocks from Yellowstone - things that could be found all over the country, from north to south, east to west. The conclusion the rangers have drawn is that items were constantly traded as the different Indian tribes came into contact with each other. Caitlin loved the shark teeth and thought BB would enjoy them too!



They had a good Junior Ranger program, all the kids were sworn in once again as Rangers and received their badges and certificates - they've got quite a few now.
